Job Description: 

Department of Bio and Brain Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) invites applications for tenured or tenure-track positions in bioengineering or related fields. The Department of Bio and Brain Engineering was established in 2002 to pursue excellence in interdisciplinary research and education for emerging bioscience and bioengineering fields. The position offers unparalleled opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration within the department and throughout the KAIST. Candidates will be jointly appointed by the KAIST Institutes (KIs) such as KI for the BioCentury, KI for the NanoCentury, KI for Information Technology Convergence, etc. which offer an outstanding scientific research environment and state-of-the-art facilities for multi-disciplinary studies. Specific areas of research include, but are not limited to 1) Biomedical Informatics & Biostatistics, 2) Stem Cell Engineering & Regenerative Medicine, 3) Bioelectromechanics & Translational Bioengineering, 4) Neurotechnology & Cognitive Engineering, 5) Imaging Probe Technology & Photo-Acoustics, and related areas.
