Bio-IT Healthcare Initiative - Inspiring Talk

4. 초록: Visual cortical neurons are found to be selective for diverse features and tolerant to identify-preserving transformations. In different parts of visual cortex, such as V4 and IT, it has been found that there is a wide range of selectivity and tolerance properties and they are inversely related across the neural population. Such findings suggest that the visual information-processing strategy by the primate visual cortex is to gradually and hierarchically build up capacity for robust object recognition.
