5. Abstract:

As a Decision Neuroscientist trained in bioengineering, Dr. Chung takes a multidisciplinary approach that integrates behavioral economics, neuroimaging, decision neuroscience, psychology, and psychiatry. His research interests focus on the neural and psychological foundation of valuation and decision-making in social settings. In his most recent studies, Dr. Chung investigated how social information—information that is acquired through observation rather than experience—affects individuals’ valuation, decision-making, and learning processes. At his talk, Dr. Chung will introduce these recent findings and briefly explain the computational modeling approaches bridging the mechanisms of individuals’ behavioral and neural information processing.
